Colormaster analyser continues to set the industry standard for prismatic colour analysers. Its flat bed operation allows for easier and safer handling of negative and allows for up to 2000 feet (600+ mtrs) of film to be transported. All Colormasters are fitted with Keycode Reader Heads as standard. The keycode kit combined with Colormaster software allows you to work in a Windows environment and gives you the ability to detect stock changes without operator intervention. FCC colour tracking ensures that if the operator winds back to a scene that has already been graded, the picture will automatically be shown at that grading.
Colormaster is the only prismatic colour analyser available on the market. Being prismatic, it allows you to see a continuous picture regardless at what speed the film is travelling. Colormasters are fitted with stainless steel rollers for cleaner, safer and quicker film transport, an adjustable lamp housing to allow the operator to choose where the light should be and RGB rotary controls to allow for fingertip control of the grading process.
Grade Rushes
Cue FCC and grade colour in one simple operation. Use autograde facility to find optimum grading quickly. Use Framestore to capture reference images, which can be held on disk or hardrive for recalling for comparison.
Graded Video
Cue and grade video rushes exactly as for making film rushes, then rewind negative and make transfer to video with scene by scene colour correction. Use optional time code generator to place VITC timecode on videotape.
Regrade Print
View prints on Colormaster for calibrated scene by scene colour correction. View history of up to two generations of colour corrections, playback corrected print for final check of colour continuity.
Grade
Make scene by scene light changes on internegative to fine tune release printing. Use Colormaster to match multiple internegatives using split screen. Differences of a s little as half printer point may be seen.

Features:
- 35/16 A/B Prism with Digital Prism Control system allows full frame stable moving picture that can be seen regardless of film transport speed and makes the task of precise colour grading for 16mm or 35mm films easy, accurate and convenient.
- The ergonomic structure and stylish design allows the operator to work comfortably winding film on a solid aluminium Flatbed table with 4 film Take-up platters with a 2000 ft capacity. The user operates the Printer Point colour correction wheels and keypad while watching the image video monitors. Data from his colour correction work is displayed simultaneously on a separate computer monitor.
- Fibre Optic Controlled Lamp System (PSU) gives precise, consistent and stable illumination of the light source, and eliminates the effect on the image output level from the fluctuation of electrical power line or the ageing of the lamp.
- During the grading operation the film Keycode numbers are displayed on the flat screen data monitor alongside FCC count, allowing film stock types to be monitored.
- Automatic detection of film stock changes without operator intervention. The 2004P analyser fitted with Keycode Reader Kit, RIM Console and Windows software will detect film stock changes. When a new stock is detected, the system will automatically alerts the operator, who will either stop the analyser and adjust the trims or use the look up tables for an automatic change.
- Split Screen Facility allows 2 different film images displayed on the video screen at same time. This allows the operator to match multiple inter-negatives accurately and eliminate possible human error.
- 3 Individual Colour Processing Boards (Input) digitises RGB video signals; all signal processing and colour control is performed digitally on the digital video. This eliminates sources of drift and instability inherent in analogue systems as adopted by other analyser manufacturers. The individual colour cards make service or calibration work simple and convenient.
- Calibration of 2004P analyser is performed by computer, which ensures the closest match between the analyser image and the printed results. It also allows precise signal processing to create an accurate representation of the film characteristics.
- The analyser allows unlimited frame-store, reading of Keycode numbers, and logging of FCC and colour grading in one simple operation.
- Auto Colour Analysis facility aids the operator to find the optimum grading position quickly and efficiently.
- The analyser mounted with a high resolution Sony PAL Digital Camera, with 3-chip CCD imaging system, coverts the film image to video. The CCD head is extremely stable requiring none of the regular and expensive maintenance associated either flying spot scanner and/or photo multipliers of other analyser systems.
- Digital Camera Focus Control enables fine tuning film image focus on the screen.
- FCC & RGB printer point data collection for control of film printers enables viewing scene by scene light changes on inter-negative allowing the user to fine tune the release print. Cue and grade video rushes exactly as for making film rushes, then rewind the negative and make a transfer to video with scene by scene colour changes.
- All colour grading data can be stored on Floppy Disk, Hard Disk or CD. 3 Rotary Colour Control wheels for Red, Green and Blue Gamma mounted on the keyboard for High Speed Data Input allows easy trimming colour displayed on the video screen and the data will be stored in the system automatically.
- The analyser will also be supplied with the following hardware and/or feature:
- Passive backplane 5 ISA 4 PCI
- Pentium 4, 3GHZ Plug-In CPU Card with 256MB Ram
- 80GB Hard Drive with Disk Storage, Windows 98 & Colormaster software.
- 3.5″ Floppy Disk Drive
- DVD CD-RW Drive
- 19″ JVC High Quality Image Monitor
- 17″ TFT Flat Screen Data Monitor
- Master Colour Control Board.
- Working Facilities with Feet & Frames or Frames only
- Operates FCC & RGB output in standard Bell & Howell tape format
- (film printer, tape punch/reader and LPT printer and LCD monitor not supplied)
- The following optional parts are required for generating BITC, VITC or Keycode burnt to rushes transfers and NTSC-PAL or PAL-NTSC: RGB-PAL Encoder, Timecode Generator, Standards Convertor NTSC — PAL — NTSC.
